Easy - focus on addition:

These simple addition squares focus on the basic process of addition.  The student has to add up the numbers in the centre of the square, writing totals for each row and column in the circles.  The final space in the bottom right hand corner is for the “grand total” of all of the numbers.

Medium - focus on number bonds:

These addition squares focus on using number bonds.  The student has to identify pairs of numbers that will add up to the totals around the outside of the square.

Difficult - focus on logic, addition and number bonds:

Here, the student needs to use logic, as well as the their number bonds and addition skills, to work out the missing squares.
