So you pressed the print button and nothing happened? For some reason, Opera doesn’t allow Java applets to print by default. This gives you two options:
a) Use another browser when using worksheet genius - there are no such restrictions within Internet Explorer or Mozilla Firefox. b) Grant printing privileges to applets in Opera.
How do I grant printing privileges? You’ll need to add a line to the “Opera.policy” file. It’s not straightforward, but if you’re using Opera, you probably know your way around a computer anyway. Here’s what you do:
1. Close Opera - so you might want to print this page off before continuing. 2. In case you make a mistake, make a copy of the original policy file before making any changes - on Windows, you’ll find it in C:\Program Files\Opera\classes\Opera.policy. 3. Open the Opera.policy file in a text editor (eg. Notepad). 4. Find the line that says: grant { 5. Just underneath, add the following line: permission java.lang.RuntimePermission "queuePrintJob"; 6. Save the file and re-start Opera.
Voila! You should now be able to print. Obviously, any changes you make to your Opera.policy file are all at your own risk.
